Leaving promptly from the Vintage Coffee Shop in Indio at 7:30am, this is a fun moderate to quick paced ride that averages 40-45 miles.
From Vintage Coffee we head South on Jefferson to Ave 52 where we then head East then South on Van Buren to Ave 66 all the way to the AMPM in Mecca. Following a short water break we then head Easterly to Johnson before moving North where we Zigzag back towards 52. We generally end the ride back at Vintage, or depending on mood will sometimes head up the Cove and finish at the Starbucks in La Quinta.
Average pace by end of ride comes in between 17-18mph so you can expect some extended time on the flats at between 21-24mph. So long as your comfortable riding in a group at a reasonable pace, this ride should be perfect for the Intermediate cyclist.
