The ride starts as a social style ride traveling to Palm Springs at a relaxed to moderate pace. After a rest stop at Victoria Park in Palm Springs the group is likely to split into two with one group continuing in a relaxed to moderately paced social style and the other picking up some speed and finishing the route in moderate to fast Drop style. On the way to the destination (Rancho Mirage Koffi) there are several segments where the pace may ramp up to 25MPH and higher for minutes at a time, including the traditional sprint to the top of the Dinah Shore overpass. (Those who prefer lower intensity should select the Social group at the rest stop.) The group generally socializes at Koffi and then disperses with some riders adding more miles and others riding home. Roughly 45 miles.

You should be comfortable riding in a group, no aerobars please
