A moderately paced Drop/Regroup ride of 50 or so miles that takes Portola to Dina Shore to Monterey and then Ramon to Thousand Palms Canyon. At the top of TPC the ride generally goes East on Dillon to Indio and eventually returns to Palm Desert on 48th Street. A turn to the West at the top of TPC leads to Desert Hot Springs and Palm Springs then returns to Palm Desert. The ride concludes with socializing at Bike and Brews.
NOTE – whether the route goes east or west at the top of TPC there is a sustained descent of several miles where speeds are likely to exceed 40mph.
